FREEPOD’s rules have been adapted from NPR’s discussion policy

FREEPOD reserves the right to remove personal attacks, name calling, libel, defamation, hate speech, threats, and harassing and bullying comments as well as obscene, pornographic, sexist, or racist posts, words, or phrases as well as rumors, allegations, conspiracy theories, and other information which we know to be false or unsubstantiated. Respecting others privacy is very important to us too, and we will also remove references to others’ phone numbers, addresses, or other personally identifying information. 

If you can't be polite, don't say it. Of course, we don't want to stifle discussion, and everyone won’t always agree. Please focus any remarks on positions, not personalities. 

Anything you post should be your own work. You're welcome to link to relevant content and to quote limited amounts from other people's work with attribution and any associated copyright notice and consistent with "fair use" principles of copyright law.  This doesn’t include wholesale copying and pasting. In addition, don't post anything posing as anyone other than yourself.

Please stay on topic. Don’t change the subject or post anything resembling advertising, promotion, recruiting, campaigning, lobbying, soliciting, or proselytizing.

Keep your comments to 400 words or less.  We reserve the right to edit for brevity, clarity, and other purposes.

Don’t post individual communications intended for only a small group of other individuals. Similarly, if you have comments about FREEPOD, please don't use the site discussion threads to air them. For issues regarding editorial content or policies, write to info@freepod.org 

You are solely responsible for the content you post. FREEPOD is not responsible for content posted by its users. We do not and cannot review all user content. However, we have the right (but not the obligation) to review, screen, delete, edit and/or move any content as described above.
